Meet Our 2026 Broadcasters

Jake Sloan

Jake Sloan is a junior at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University. For the past three years, he has been a broadcaster for Blaze Radio as well as a digital reporter for Sun Devils Source since March of 2025. 

Ren Grimsley

Ren Grimsley is a rising Senior at the University of Georgia, majoring in Journalism and Sports Media, minoring in Sports Management and earning his certificate in News Literacy. 

During his time at Georgia, he has been a member of the UGA Club Hockey and Club Lacrosse broadcasts and served as director of both for the last two years. He has also called hockey and lacrosse on ESPN+, as well as commentary for high school football, volleyball and lacrosse for the GHSA. Also at Georgia, he is currently the VP of Intellectual Development for his fraternity and has been an active member of the Film Club. 

Ren has spent a total of 25 weeks over the last three summers working at Camp Glisson, a United Methodist summer camp in Dahlonega, Ga, where he was also a camper for 10 years. 

Growing up, Ren played Baseball, Basketball, Tennis, Soccer, Cross Country and Track. In high school, he focused on Lacrosse, where he was team captain his senior year, and Marching Band, where he was Band President his senior year. 

In his free time, Ren loves lifting/running, watching movies/TV, watching sports and going camping.
